In this dispute of personal gain, self-interest, and egotism
what flowed was not blood but the tears of the planet,
Though we’ve only been living for a few seconds in proportion to
the billions of years since Earth was born,
We’ve become unable to undo what’s done
We are an irredeemable existence
But I knew a single unspoiled love

** In Japanese the word for “star” can mean any celestial object so here it is closer to “planet”.
