Red ~ the GazettE

「Red」
the GazettE

I want to believe it

‘Red’
by the GazettE

The deeper I get to know you,
the less I understand you

Though I couldn’t see any “red thread”*
I had faith and can’t go back

Hold me, even knowing it’s a lie I can’t conceal my drowning heart,
I’m fulfilled by your warmth that sinks into my lips,
I can’t go back, it’s too late now

In the rain that began to fall,
shivering without raising my umbrella,
I was afraid of feeling lonely
so I longed for you

Though we couldn’t see any “red thread”
we long for one another and can’t go back

Hold me, even knowing it’s a lie I can’t conceal my drowning heart,
I’m fulfilled by your warmth that sinks into my lips,
I can’t go back, it’s too late now

Returning a nod at those words mingled with a sigh,
“If we cross paths again we’ll be able to smile at each other”
I want to believe it

Though I couldn’t see any “red thread”
I had faith and can’t go back

If everything has an end,
then surely the two of us are eternal…
If nothing is certain,
then we can make a vow for a tomorrow together

Hold me, even knowing it’s a lie I can’t conceal my drowning heart,
I’m fulfilled by your warmth that sinks into my lips,
I can’t go back, it’s too late now

* This refers to the idea that two people fated for each other are connected by a red string tied to their fingers.
