This post is dedicated to Ochida Daisuke.
R.I.P. 7/15/2010 ~ 飛花落葉

You were too reticent so I couldn’t see inside your heart,
You held the broken hand mirror so preciously,
“I can’t smile properly….”
you’d murmur while hanging your head,
“It’s enough to smile awkwardly….”
I said clumsily

The two of us who met on a night just after the rain
scattered before the pink flowers fully bloomed,
Everything you didn’t reveal to me even to the very end,
the pink flowers will no doubt turn it all blue

Things like the red thread of fate don’t exist,
After getting a little hurt the words are reduced by half,
There is no eternity, death awaits everything,
Without hiding my confusion my collarbones rattle,
Things like the red thread of fate don’t exist

After getting a little hurt the words are reduced by half,
There is no eternity, death awaits everything

On your birthday I gave you a cute watch,
looking a little shy you said to me, “I’m so happy”
One day will we even forget that we spent such days together?

The two of us who met on a night just after the rain
scattered before the pink flowers fully bloomed,
Everything you didn’t reveal to me even to the very end,
the pink flowers will no doubt turn it all blue

The needles of the watch coldly began their countdown to the end,
ticking away a sad conclusion
