smash!!

「smash!!」

‘smash!!’
by girugämesh

A calm question amidst losing oneself
What does someone like you feel?
What do you seek in this place…
What do you leave behind those eyelids?

If that smile’s just out of courtesy stop it, it’s totally see-through
If it seems like interference cover your ears…you can hear me, can’t you?

Only doing things your way, now selfishly
chase after what you believe in even if it might be wrong,
Take pride in what you believed and in yourself!

The one who decides that it’s hopeless isn’t other people, it’s you!
The one who leaves behind regrets loses!  Let’s RECKLESSLY be selfish!!

I don’t want approval!  Sing out your empathy!
I hate halfheartedness, scream out your empathy until we smash!!*

I don’t want approval!  Sing out your empathy!
I hate halfheartedness, scream out your empathy until we smash!!

Inattentiveness that exceeds even my hate of this bullshit that puts me to sleep
Won’t you try scratching at the reality that makes us want to cover our eyes with me?

I don’t want approval!  Sing out your empathy!
I hate halfheartedness, scream out your empathy until we smash!!

I don’t want approval!  Sing out your empathy!
I hate halfheartedness, scream out your empathy until we smash!!

* The verb for “smash” also means “to be ruined, destroyed, or wrecked” and “to lose one’s head”.
