泣ヶ原 ~ the GazettE

「泣ヶ原」
the GazettE

‘Nakigahara’ {‘Field of Lamentation’}
by the GazettE

Spring scenery in which I go crazy in repose, if it’s something that can be forgotten,
I submerge both eyes in the beauty of rotting and crumbling, only in solitude can I smile,
The spring scenery of my third imprisonment, holding my breath I swim the mire,
drowning with one’s legs thrashing is a boring method as imagined,
With my dominant hand that slays reality
I easily added on scars, didn’t I?
Burying that name

Rotten roots disturb the water’s surface, cogs turn as if warping,
I turn my ear toward the creaking sound, I’m going completely insane, aren’t I?
Everything is a shallow sea of taboo words, so filthy it can mistakenly seem clear,

Goodbye, falling down into lawless darkness
Goodbye, with this it will end

Tears, a rain of lamentation, overflows each time I face the emptiness,
the words I compose blot and run,
Tears, one day they’ll run dry, killed by the silence
I’ll lose my mind at the end of the shadow stepping,

Rotten roots disturb the water’s surface, cogs turn as if warping,
I flung my attention to the creaking sound, I realized it resembles THAT

Tears, a rain of lamentation, overflows each time I face the emptiness,
the words I compose blot and run,
Tears fall with loneliness, if I live in silence
I’ll carve it in so I will never smile again*

There is I who loved you             There is I who gazed at you
There is I who longed for you      There is I who lost you
There is you who loved me          There is you who gazed at me
There is you who destroyed me   There is you who snatched me away
There is you who killed me

* It’s not entirely clear whether it’s ‘I’ or ‘you’ who won’t ever smile again.

  1. This really is such a beautiful song, and I admire you so much for being able of translating this, and even more for sharing it, your web goes to my favorites immediately.

Do you mind if I use your translations to translate them to Spanish? please let me know🙂

    Great job! *gives you cookies*

  2. Thank you!🙂 I also think this song is very beautiful, perhaps one of the most beautiful the GazettE have ever written, in fact.
I’d be more than happy to let you translate my translations. I know some Spanish myself, but nowhere near the level it would take to translate. ^_^; I’m sure Spanish-speaking fans will really appreciate your work.
