elite STAR+ ~ THE KIDDIE

「elite STAR+」
THE KIDDIE

全人類 求める夢 僕らを繋ぐ幸せの定理
10年後 手にしてるかな? 何してるかな?
笑えてたらいいな

こうやって寂しいときも 誰かがそれを掴んでいっても
いつだって見付けられるだろう You can find it yourself

Wake up!!

‘elite STAR+’
by THE KIDDIE

A dream all humanity longs for, a theorem of happiness that connects us,
10 years from now will you have it in your hands?  What’ll you be doing?
It’d be nice if you were smiling

That way even in lonely times, even if someone takes hold of it,
one day you’ll be able to find it, You can find it yourself
when that time comes

So don’t hesitate, stand up!

Oh, gather up the tailwinds and step forward,
there’s no need to hurry, it’s ok to do things your own way!

You beat the 1/300,000,000 odds and were born,
Every one of us is an elite STAR
Bawling and holding it in your fisted hand,
you’ve come this far up till now!

If you just look at your feet upon the round earth and curl up
nothing’s gonna change, only the revolving world will turn around,

So don’t hesitate, stand up!

Oh, gather up the tailwinds and step forward,
there’s no need to hurry, Wake up in your own way!!

You beat the 1/300,000,000 odds and were born,
Every one of us is an elite STAR
Climbing mountains, descending valleys, crying,
before you know it, look, it’s there

In hopelessly hard times, in times so painful you feel like breaking,
the memories of the road you’ve walked, the kindness you’ve been given,
don’t let them go, cry out loud!

You beat the 1/300,000,000 odds and were born,
Every one of us is an elite STAR
Bawling and holding it in your fisted hand,
you’ve come this far up till now!
Don’t curl up upon the round earth, strike out so hard it stings,
Let’s be our true selves!  Spreading large hands wide, let’s become ★!

Until you grasp happiness, yeah

  1. Oh, you translated this one!
I think I’ll use this translation to sub the PV.🙂
Do you want me to wait for the correction first, though?

Also, I have a question. After the 2nd chorus, there’s this ‘rap’ part, but it’s not up in there. Is it because it’s missing from the booklet?

  2. Yeah, it’s not in the printed lyrics.
There’s no need to wait for corrections, because I don’t have that system anymore. Now I’m working entirely independently.🙂

  3. Oh, I see! Your translations are great either way, so. ^^
I just have a question, if you wouldn’t mind answering it. The romaji I found for this song seems to differ from what Yusa sings in two parts. I don’t know if it differs from the official lyrics too, because my kanji knowledge is really limited. |D

From what I understand, these two parts differ:
“juu’nen ato te ni shiteru kana?” it seems to me that what’s sung is something like “juu’nen go te ni…”
And here: “yama nobotte tani sagatte naite” it seems like he’s singing something like “yama nobotte tani kudatte(?)…”
    I’m not sure of this, hence why I’m asking. I hope you don’t mind. ^^;;

  4. No problem, reading is one of the trickiest parts of Japanese because each character has multiple pronunciations. ^_^
What Yusa sings is exactly what’s printed in the official lyrics, but the difference you’ve noticed is because kanji are read different ways depending on the context, and it would seem whoever typed out the romanji misread a few.

In the part where Yusa says “jyuunen..”「後」is read “go” because it’s being used in this particular construction about time with no particles.

The word「下って」can be pronounced ‘sagatte’ or ‘kudatte’, but Yusa reads it ‘kudatte’ because that verb more specifically refers to descending something in contrast to the meaning of ‘sagatte’, which is closer to falling or dropping.
    They’re actually two different verbs but both indicate downward motion so they’re written with the same kanji, which might be a bit confusing. ^_^;

  5. *feels enlightened*
Thanks so much for explaining! I knew that the same character can be read in different ways, so I assumed that was why there were those small differences. I just didn’t know how to type them, so I decided to ask (but it seems like I have good hearing, I actually got them right xD).
Well, once again, thank you for the lovely translation and for helping me! *goes off to sub the PV*

  6. Hello! Thank you so much for translating!!
Is it alright if I use your translation in a graphic (blog header~) as long as I credit your site? Thank you🙂

  7. Oh, I’m sorry to post again, but I forgot to ask:

In the future, can I use any of your translations, as long as I make sure to credit you? Your translations are really great~
    Thank you🙂
