GENTLE LIE ~ the GazettE

「GENTLE LIE」
the GazettE

弱さのせいにしたのは 互いの「最愛」の為だろう

Let’s see in the cold bed….
Please give me a gentle kiss….シルクに溶ける二人

愛し愛され哀を知り 口移しの溜め息
理解り合う素振りの繰り返し
ただ抱いて抱かれてそれだけ 他には何一つ望まず
Truth can’t be seen. 「望むのなら ほら」
No… 少しずつ言葉を変えたいだけ

「最愛」を欲しがる前に この手を離して欲しい

Let’s see in the cold bed….
Please give me a gentle kiss….

‘GENTLE LIE’
by the GazettE

That I blamed it on weakness was probably for the sake of each other’s “most beloved”

Let’s see in the cold bed….
Please give me a gentle kiss…the two of us melt into the silk

To love, be loved, and know sorrow, mouth-to-mouth sighs,
behaving as if we understand one another again and again,
just holding and being held, that’s all, not hoping for anything else,
Truth can’t be seen. “If I hope for it, see…”
No…I just want to change my words little by little,

Before you wish for your “most beloved” I want you to let go of this hand,

Let’s see in the cold bed….
Please give me a gentle kiss…I know we can’t go back

To love, be loved, and know sorrow, mouth-to-mouth sighs,
We let ourselves behave as if we understood one another again and again,
because we could see the loneliness in the sensation of holding and being held,

Though I understood the foolishness of longing for
an answer that’ll be swept away by overlaid fingers,
the overflowing Sorrow melts the shadows,

To grieve, be grieved, and know love, in our entwined sighs*
what we can’t escape aren’t the lies,
Every time we repeat it the fever increases, in that gentle lie
my breaths seem about to be cut off,

Though I can see the confusion in the weight of loving again,
the one covering their eyes is you, isn’t it?
Shaking and drowning in someone wiping away their loneliness,

The one who let go of this hand…is “me”

* There’s a bit of word play in this sentence because though the kanji used here means “grief/sorrow/pity” it’s pronounced the same way as the kanji for “love” [=ai], so it sounds the same as the phrases in the 3rd and 5th paragraphs. Also, the sigh mentioned here has the connotation of being one of dissatisfaction or disappointment.
