溶けないアイス
冷た過ぎて売れない
枯れないジュース
飲み切れない
ほら
せっかくの発明もこれじゃガラクタみたい

永遠に消えないメロディーを謡えば次にまた生まれ変わる時に
誰にも書けない歌詞を書けば次にまた教科書を読んだ時に

生きたいよ
生きていたいよ
そんな事思ったのかもしれない
何度君と話をしたいと思ったろう
だから僕の答え

最後の君は雨に濡れながら御世辞にも綺麗なんて云えないけど
ちゃんと空には綺麗な君が輝いていた

永遠に消えないメロディーを謡えばまた声を褒めてくれるのかな？
誰にも負けない歌詞を書けばまたこの唄唇ずさんでくれるのかな？

like this all the inventions you took the trouble to make seem like junk

If I sing an eternally unfading melody, the next time I’m reborn…
If I write lyrics no one else can write, the next time I read a textbook…

I want to live!
I want be alive!
I may have thought that
How many times did I think I want to talk with you?
And so my answer is…

I won’t flatter you by saying at the end you were pretty while soaked by the rain,
but you were so beautiful shining perfectly up there in the sky

If I sing an eternally unfading melody, will you praise my voice again?
If I write lyrics that won’t lose to anyone, will you hum this song again?
